Interim Charity Year End accountant

We are currently working with a progressive London based charity looking for a Year-End Accountant to support their finance team through year-end preparations. The organisation is a large and respected entity in the Not For Profit and sector, however the role will be based fully remotely.

Description

• Prepare and finalise year-end accounts in compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors, ensuring all required documentation is available.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and processes.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support the finance team in daily operational tasks.
• Comply with all applicable regulations and uphold the organisation's financial integrity.

Profile

A successful Year End Accountant/Financial Accountant should have:

• A strong educational background in Accounting & Finance.
• MUST BE FULLY QUALIFIED (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
• SORP
• Restricted funds
• Experience of a similar role for another Not for Profit.
• A firm grasp of accounting principles and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
