Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting for a Part Time Finance Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. This will require you to travel to their office in Twickenham for 24 hours per week. This role will initially be on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage month end journals: accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany transactions etc.
- Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts.
- Prepare and monitor consolidated Cash flow forecasts.
- Bank accounts reconciliation.
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
- Review and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
- Ensure compliance with other regulatory requirements and internal financial policies and procedures are followed throughout the organisation.
- Liaise with external agencies such as: HMRC, banks, auditors etc.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and analysis of the organisation’s performance.
- Prepare year end accounts and liaise with auditors for a smooth year end audit.
- Collate information for payroll from wider staff team for approval by the Director
- Prepare the monthly payroll and liaise with external third party pay role provider
- Review contracts regularly with the Director and staff team to ensure best value for money is being achieved for the organisation. Some contracts will require this role to lead on contract negotiation including utilities and communications.
- Provide budget holder training and support for department leads and ensure they are following agreed financial procedures
- Support Director in ensuring that staff team are remaining within allocated budgets.
- Look for opportunities to introduce process to reduce financial risk and improve planning for example a purchase order system and spend approval.
